Barrack and Michelle Obama Grace the Cover of Ebony Magazine

Barrack and Michelle Obama grace the cover of the November issue of Ebony as he talks to the magazine about the issues that affect African-Americans this election. Obama talks to the magazine about the actions he has taken to help the African-American community during his first term an how he plans to approve upon that if he is re-elected in November.

He touched on topics such as crime, health care and jobs. He also addressed the White House Initiative on Educational Excellence for African-Americans by saying that “the number of working poor who don’t have health care, who are African-American or Latino are higher than the general population…the 30 million people who are going to be able to get health care for the first time…are going to be African-Americans.”
