LL Cool J and Family ‘Safe’ After Burglary Attempt, Thankful for Concern

LL Cool J and his family are safe and cooperating with police who are investigating an attempted burglary at his Studio City home Wednesday morning, according to a statement released by his manager.

The rapper and actor, who stars in the CBS drama “NCIS: Los Angeles,” thwarted the burglar, who tried to break in about 1 a.m.

LL Cool J was upstairs in his home when he heard noise coming from the kitchen area. When he went down to see what was happening, the unidentified suspect came at him, leading to a skirmish.

Police said the two engaged in a “knock-down, drag-out” fight, which LL Cool J won. The burglar suffered a broken nose and jaw and was being held by the actor when officers arrived at the home in the 12000 block of Blairwood Drive.
