Mary J. Blige Joins ‘The Voice’ as Advisor

Mary J. Blige and Michael Buble will find their voices as advisors on NBC’s The Voice in the upcoming Fall season.

Powerhouse R&B singer Blige has signed on as an advising mentor for Adam Levine’s team, Blige’s rep confirmed to The Hollywood Reporter.

With nine Grammy Awards and four American Music Awards to her name, Blige will bring plenty of wisdom and experience to share with the aspiring singers.

“I’ve always been a huge fan of Mary J. Blige,” Levine recently told Rolling Stone. “So it’s been great having her on The Voice as an adviser to my team.”

The announcement of Blige’s role on the show comes on the heels of her announcement of her co-headlining tour with R&B singer D’Angelo, which will kick off on Aug. 18. She also recently starred in the movie musical, Rock of Ages.
