A trial date is set for the man charged with killing 3 members of actress and singer Jennifer Hudson’s family. Jury selection is set for April 9th in 30-year-old William Balfour’s trial. Balfour is the estranged husband of Jennifer Hudson’s sister, Julia. Testimony in the trial will begin on April 23rd.

The 2008 murders happened at Hudson’s mother’s home on Chicago’s south side. Balfour is charged with first-degree murder, home invasion and aggravated kidnapping in the murders of Jennifer Hudson’s mother, Darnell Donerson, her brother, Jason Hudson, and Julia Hudson’s 7-year-old son, Julian King.

The trial expected to last 3 to 4 weeks.
