Oprah fans want Oprah. It’s that simple. The two-hour premiere of Oprah Winfrey’s new primetime series Oprah’s Next Chapter, which aired on Jan. 1 at 9 p.m., garnered the network’s highest Sunday premiere ever on OWN with 1.1 million total viewers.

Oprah chatted up Steven Tyler at his house at Lake Sunapee, N.H., on the show, which also became the highest rated premiere for a series on OWN outside of the network’s launch weekend. It ranked just behind the premiere of Season 25: Oprah Behind the Scenes on Jan. 1, 2011, which pulled in 1.2 million viewers.
