50 Cent gives fans free LP

56205569Rap mogul 50 Cent used his website ThisIs50.com to treat fans to a free album of new material. War Angel is a collection of songs 50 recorded in three days to wet the appetite of rap fans anxiously awaiting the September release of 50’s album, Before I Self Destruct.

The title War Angel is taken from a comic book created by Brian Pulido. ” I used the War Angel title for it because I read a comic book through Marvel Comics,” said 50.

“The guy who created it, he’s done ‘Nightmare on Elm Street’ and illustrations I’m familiar with. He created this concept: War Angel. God created these angels to create war. It’s necessary on some level. I took the concept. It’s kinda from the perspective I grew up under.”
