Morgan Freeman Narrates PBS series debut

kontentreal is releasing e2: the economies of being environmentally conscious on PBS this week. The first six episodes, packaged as e2 energy, are narrated by Morgan Freeman and beautifully shot in HD. The documentary program traverses the globe to unearth stories about solar energy empowering the poor in rural Bangladesh, wind farms as a burgeoning source of local power and income for farmers in Minnesota, technology developments that strive to lessen the environmental impact of coal and nuclear energy resources and more. Each episode is presented through interviews with foremost thought leaders in the sustainability movement ranging from Nobel Prize-winner Mohammad Yunus and author/journalist Vijay Vaitheeswaran to world leading economist Jeffrey Sachs. The e2 energy episodes roll out on PBS starting on October 19, 2007 and will air on multiple networks around the world. One episode per week will also be streamed on the Internet at www.e2-series.com. Installments of the upcoming season of e2 energy were produced by kontentreal, and sponsored by Autodesk, the world’s leading provider of state-of-the-art 2D and 3D design software, committed to driving awareness and adoption of the principles of sustainable design. All of the e2 energy episodes were directed by Tad Fettig, filmed in HD by cinematographer Robert Humphreys, and executive produced by kontentreal co-founders Karena Albers and Fettig.
