Pro-Line Announces Soft & Beautiful Just for Me Model Search Winners

Pro-Line International, a subsidiary of The Alberto-Culver Company (NYSE:ACV) and the second largest manufacturer of ethnic beauty care products in the world, announces the winners of its Soft & Beautiful(R) Just For Me(TM) Model Search contest. The company is also unveiling a brand new look for the product packaging, announcing that the relaxer product now offers 100% more moisture.

Nine-year-old Dionnie Colon from Tampa, FL; eight-year-old Madison Redmon of Sugarland, TX; six-year-old Kiarra Perkins of Byhalia, MS; seven-year-old Mariah St. Germain of Fresno, TX and their mothers arrived in Dallas, Texas, thanks to Southwest Airlines, Just For Me’s official carrier, for their first media appearances as Pro-Line Soft & Beautiful(TM) Just For Me(R) spokes models. All four of the girls have signed seven-year contracts to take a message of healthy, beautiful and manageable hair care and good will to moms and daughters everywhere who want to look good and spend less time and hassle with their hair for a reasonable price.

“The debut of these lovely and lively little girls as Pro-Line spokes models marks a milestone for Just for Me(TM), which is the number one hair care line of its kind in the world,” said Tiffanie Jones, Brand Manager, Pro-Line International. “This announcement sets the stage for the product’s new 100% more moisture claim. Entrants submitted signed entry forms along with a recent photograph. Of the 200 contest entrants, 10 semi-finalists were chosen based on three factors: appropriateness to contest theme, photogenic qualities, and overall condition and appearance of the contestant’s hair.

From the 10 semi-finalists, six finalists were selected to go through a comprehensive screening by the Pro-Line International stylist to confirm the condition of their hair and photogenic qualities. Final screening was scheduled for a JFM VIP weekend in September 2005 in Dallas, Texas, at corporate headquarters. During the weekend, the girls received Just For Me(TM) paraphernalia, book bags, a trip to Dave & Busters and a day at Six Flags. Based on the screening, the four girls were selected as the winners of the JFM Model search to attend the New York Photo shoot.

The Soft & Beautiful(R) Just for Me(TM) spokes model images could be used on Just for Me(TM) Relaxer Kits, the JFMVIPCLUB.com website, print advertising, and more.

On their media debut in Dallas, Dionnie, Madison, Kiarra and Mariah will also visit patients at Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children. They will cap off their visit to Dallas with dinner and tournament at the Medieval Times.
